After more than a decade as an artist, she transitioned in front of the camera as a full-time curve model, where she spent over 12 years deepening her understanding of brand storytelling, and the talent experience within high-level productions.
This expansive background led her to found GLN Austen Management, a forward-thinking talent agency built on diversity, inclusion, and intentional representation. Germaine’s passion is to represent the most underrepresented talent in the fashion industry, all while actively working to challenge outdated standards and create space for broader representation.
As an on-set Art Director, Germaine brings a sharp eye for detail, strong visual intuition, and a deep understanding of production workflow. Her cross-disciplinary experience allows her to collaborate seamlessly with photographers, stylists, talent, producers, and creative teams to translate concepts into cohesive, emotionally resonant visuals. Born and raised in Long Beach, California, Germaine’s work is deeply influenced by community, culture, and lived experience.
As a queer Black woman, she is committed to creating imagery and environments that celebrate diversity, culture, individuality, texture, and human connection. She believes life is art and it goes beyond aesthetics, but rather expresses mood, evokes feeling, and tells stories that linger long after the camera stops. Whether leading creative direction, building brands, managing talent, or shaping visual narratives, Germaine approaches every project with intention, imagination, and the belief that meaningful creative work has the power to shift and change culture.
